Teaching Jobs in Cuba

Teaching jobs in Cuba are government jobs, because like everything else in Cuba, education is government controlled. A state-directed scheme of education was started in all institutions nationalized since 1961.

So, at present, all teaching opportunities in Cuba are in government institutions which are free and no private endeavors in the education system are allowed. The economic turbulence after the collapse of the Soviet Union has created a period of pressure on the Cuban education system which has long striven to ensure quality teaching in Cuba.

Cuban teaching jobs are given to graduates of government training colleges who have passion, discipline and dedication. Teachers in Cuba give compulsory primary education to all up to sixteen years of age.

Schools, colleges and universities are procuring the latest teaching tools to facilitate the growth of education allowing the tutors to use more innovative ways of teaching. The nation itself trains enough teachers for its requirements. Training is a must for all teaching jobs in Cuba.
