Till 1951 the health care services was ill-developed and the rate of employment in health care jobs in Dubai was very low. But since 1951 the federal government has concentrated on the development and improvement of the health care services in Dubai and at present the sector is in major expansion mode. The ministry of health in Dubai has taken strong initiative for improving the infrastructure of the health care system and one of the major steps is increasing the rate of fund to PHC clinics.
In the recent years the health care services in Dubai have come up as a major revenue generator for its economy. Many health care centers have started operations in Dubai where patients are provided world-class health care services and advanced medical treatments. With new health care centers coming up in large numbers, the rate of employment in different health care jobs in Dubai has also gone up.
Besides Medical studies have now become a trend of education in Dubai. Young people are getting more and more attracted towards health care jobs. The role of Dubai Health care City (DHCC) is mention worthy here. The DHCC was launched in the year 2002 with an aim to fill the gap between Europe and South East Asia by establishing a center from where patients would receive world-class health care services.
The main objective of the DHCC is to establish a regional hub providing developed health care services, and advance health related educational programs and scientific research in the Middle East and the organization is planning to acquire several authorities and international corporations specialized in providing health care, education, services and research. So it is expected that in the near future the health care services in Dubai will be more developed and more scope will be created for different health care jobs in Dubai.

Work experience: Generally a working experience of one-two years is sought for health care jobs. However freshers are also given scope in comparatively smaller organizations.
Working hours: The general working hours for health care professionals is 40-45 hours per week and they have to work in shifts.
Pay scale: Nothing is specified about pay scale for health care jobs in Dubai.
