Universities in Norway

Norway is country located in Northern Europe, west of Sweden. Its climate is temperate along the coast and colder in the interiors. It is a Constitutional Monarchy and its monetary unit is the Norwegian Krone. The economy in Norway is a prosperous bastion of welfare capitalism, featuring a combination of free-market economy and government intervention. The level of literacy in Norway is 100%. 
 
Norwegian university offers Bachelor (3 years), Master (2 years) and Doctor/PhD (4 years) degrees program. All the universities in Norway are state run, specifically, by the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research. 
 
The widest range of university undergraduate and graduate programs are offered by the Universities in Norway can be found in Bergen, Oslo and Trondheim. There are 7 higher education institutions in Norway that are classified as universities. Education is provided in areas such as Architecture and Design, Economics and Business Administration, Sport Science, Music and Veterinary Science. 
 
The university sector includes the universities and the university colleges. These institutions carry out research and offer university level instruction at undergraduate and graduate levels. There are four universities in Norway. The University of Oslo, is Norway's oldest and largest university. The remaining three universities are the University of Bergen, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and the University of Tromsø. There are six university colleges, offering at university-level specialized professional degree program in agriculture, veterinary medicine, economics and business administration, sport and physical education, music, and architecture.
