Thus, employee management is also the most important responsibility for the mangers in order to increase the organisational productivity.
Organizations must follow human resource management principles and develop strategies for retaining their best employees and motivating employees to work more efficiently. They should practice management principles of flexibility, innovation, empowerment, employee involvement, etc. to support their human resources.
Employer-Employee Relation The employers should provide a favourable working environment to their employees. They should not treat their employees as individuals but as one organization. This will help them to nullify the diversity effect and will improve employee commitment. The employees should not follow a bureaucratic approach and also should not be too liberal with the employees.
Focus on Group Dynamics Organizations should promote teamwork. They should assign task to a group of employees. Incentives and responsibilities should be shared among the members.
Awareness The employees should be made aware of the changes taking place in the organization and the reason behind the incorporated changes. The employers must involve the employees in decision-making.
Employee Development & Motivation Organizations should take measures to develop their employees. They must provide formal training to their employees to develop the latter’s competencies. Organizations should also motivate their employees by implementing HR motivation theories and strategies.
Problem Solving Organizations should provide counseling to their employees. There should be provision for solving employees’ problems, both personal and professional. Outings or management games should be organized for the purpose. |
