Hyderabad is covered by a large network of optical fiber cable. Hyderabad has three print media group that publish several newspaper and magazines in English, Telegu amd Urdu. Some of the major newspaper of the city includes Andra Jyoti, Prajashakti, Andra bhoomi and Andra Prabha. The major English dailies include The Economic Times, The Indian Express and The Decaan Chronicle. Besides these newspaper there are a number of local newspaper that cater to several localities. In addition to these, a number of magazines are published in Hyderabad that includes Swati, Navya, Andra Prabha and others. Hyderabad is also the center of several radio channels like Radio Mirchi, Big FM, Radio City etc. State owned doordarshan also transmits two terrestrial television channels and one satellite channel for Hyderabad.
