- The employer is supposed provide his workers with first-aid facilities and the cost of expenses of treatment, medicines and transportation of employee to the hospital (if his case so requires) is the responsibility of the employer.
- The probationary period for workers should not exceed 1 month
- Guaranteed wages are higher than the minimum $200.
- In general, for private companies, 100% of salary is sent directly to the families. Allowance for food & housing expenses may sometimes be given.
- 70% of salary is remitted directly to the families while the 30% remains with the worker for nurses.
- In Libya , a Sunday-Thursday work week is observed.
- Generally working hours is 8 hours per day (excluding intervals from dining and rest) / 48 hours per week work is also observed. Additional working hours should not exceed 4 hours per day.

Annual vacation leave is 16 days with full pay for every 1 full year of service rendered.
- 24 days vacation leave maybe given to employees who have rendered 5 consecutive years of service or who hold key positions.
- The employee whose sickness or disability if proven, shall be entitled to sick leave during which he shall receive 50% of his pay for the first 60 days, to be increased to 60% for the rest days in one year

The workers shall receive cash benefits daily for incapacity incurred due to illness or injury
