    For working in the hotels in Oman, especially in the managerial or executive posts, at least a bachelor's degree in Hotel Management/Human Resource/Business Management is required.
    At some hotels even MBA Degree is required for managerial or administrative posts. For front desk and other related posts, a graduate degree is required. For other entry level jobs no specific qualifications are mentioned. For jobs in the post of chef, knowledge about various types of cuisines of the world are required. Other than this the job seeker should have good communication skills in English is required and knowledge of Arabic will be an added qualification.

    Experience is always required for jobs in the tourism sector in Oman. For international hotels in Oman at least 3-5 years of experience is required. For local hotels at least 2 years of experience is required.
