Cogat Test

Cogat test aims at analyzing the reasoning skills and intelligence level of an individual. A cognitive ability test considers three areas, verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning. It can be further categorized as:

  • General Intelligence Test
  • Aptitude Test

General Guidelines
  • The candidate must be good at time management. He/she should not waste time and must try to complete all questions in the limited time.
  • The candidate should practice sample test papers given online or in books.
General Intelligence Test

A General Intelligence Test takes into account the reasoning ability of the candidate. The test comprises of 150-200 questions. The candidate is supposed to answer all the questions correctly in a limited time, say 1 ½ or 2 hours.

Aptitude Test
Aptitude test aims at analyzing the candidate’s intellectual abilities, i.e. logical and analytical reasoning abilities to assess his/her job related skills. The candidate is given a set of questions pertaining to verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning. The candidate is expected to complete the test in the given time frame.
