The Pohang University Science & Technology (South Korea), known as POSTECH in short was founded in the year 1986 by Park Tae-joon. It was the first research-based varsity in South Korea. Park Tae-joon was the CEO of the Pohang Iron and Steel Company. Today, this university has emerged as one of the leading Science and Technology universities of global repute.
