Working Hours: Working hours are divided in shifts. Daily hours are not specified. South African nurses work six days a week. 
 
Pay Scale: Salaries appear low but are better than other comparable jobs. Experienced nurses get 146,000 rand and above, whereas professors and lecturers get more salary. Freshers get less salary compared to the experienced persons.
