Teaching Jobs in Spain

The Ministry of Education of Spain with the departments of higher education in the universities coordinates the activities of state and private institutions and proposes the main lines of educational policy.
Basic education in Spain is free for all and it is extended till the age of 16, the legal age for starting work in Spain. The educational system also includes special education and vocational education to suit the needs of different students.
The general educational structure is:
  • Nursery and infant education(0 to 6 years)
  • Primary education(6 to 12 years)
  • Compulsory secondary education(12 to 16 years)
  • Post-compulsory secondary education includes baccalaureate and the middle grade of vocational training.

Spanish families hire English tutors on contract basis for educating themselves in English and the prospect of these jobs are developing with the global demand of English. Qualification: A high school degree is generally required 
Work Experience: Experience in most of the cases is not essential. 
Other Skills: Should have an excellent command over English, both written and spoken. 
Working Hours: For governess and paid child care no working hours are specified but in other cases the working hours vary between 35-40 hours per week. 
Pay Scale: The governesses and paid child-care assistants gets a free accommodation with the family along with 3 meals per day and 50 Euro for spending. The salary of others varies between $1590(US) excluding accommodation
