Now the Twitter Interview starts....

Q1: If you were written about in the newspaper, on the front page, what would the headline say?

[  Chetan R ] -  "I'm  batman -Chetan" lol. That was a tricky question to start with. On a serious note, hope it's for some good reason. ;)

Q2: If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional. With whom would it be?

[  Chetan R ] -  Steve Jobs. For obvious reasons! The man had a deadly tumor in his pancreas and yet he chose to hang on. Who would have the will power to do that?

Q3: I design things when I get bored of being a.w.e.s.o.me! – Your FB profile says this. What is that one sentence which describes Cheth, the Social Media celeb?

[  Chetan R ] - Errm celeb? I have always hated that word, I would like to believe that people still follow me on Twitter just to keep track of my designs, photography stuff and not because they are interested in knowing what I had for breakfast.

So talking about this guy Chetan, he's a simple guy  who eats and sleeps at the wrong time and is crazy about designing. I keep my online life totally disconnected with my offline life just for the fact that I would still like my friends to treat me normally and not because I'm that big showoff guy who works as a designer. Sorry, I did take up a lot of sentences didn't I? ;)

Q4: Do you like what Chetan does at Chethstudios? What is he doing to make his team members like it?

[  Chetan R ] -  It's tough to measure emotions like 'like'. But yeah, I'm a very flexible person, and the fact that my team has remained the same ever since we started, speaks for itself.

Q5: Tell us about a time when you were able to step into a situation, take charge, muster support and achieve good results?

[  Chetan R ] -  It hasn't been smooth sailing for me all the way, especially while starting out when I was just another engineering student with crazy ideas wanting to put a ding in the universe. There were at times when all my family, friends like the typical Indian families questioned my methods and thought I was foolish enough to not opt for a software engineering job like my other friends. And I did take the challenge and I've had people come up to me and say 'oh man you're pretty famous dude', 'How did you do that?' etc. I simply smile to myself because I know if I hadn't taken the charge I would've been telling those same lines to someone else.

Q6: Has "Living the Game" taken over your personal life? How do you strike a balance?

[  Chetan R ] -  If my friends are to be believed, yes initially it did mess up my personal life. But then as I said earlier if I hadn't set priorities and figured out a way to balance work with personal life, I would have totally lost it. But again, graphic designing is something I always loved doing. The day designing starts to get 'work' to me is the day I quit designing.

Q7: Which attitude does not work for you at workplace?

[  Chetan R ] -  I hate negativity and people who can't stop cribbing, but I guess everyone knows it so I don't see such things often.

Q8: What quality you admire in co-workers?

[  Chetan R ] -  I admire talent more than anything else.

Q9: How do you stay current?

[  Chetan R ] -  God bless the internet! I exploit it to the fullest.

Q10: Your advice to all the young designers who want to follow your footsteps

[  Chetan R ] -  Be yourself! Don't follow anyone, not even me. Why? I'm a self - taught graphic designer, haven't seen a design school in my entire life. When I used to work for a big media house they used to ask me my personal opinion. Why? It’s simple, because I'm not a text book designer and I never thought or designed as another designer out of a design school. Maybe that is what set me apart and people always appreciated my work. If you have the talent, just back it up with all your heart.
