Now the Twitter Interview starts....

Q1: If you were written about in the newspaper, on the front page, what would the headline say?

[ Ruhani Rabin ] - That is certainly a very interesting question. There might be more than one possibility. If you really see me on the newspaper it would most probably be something to do with technology industry or helping out people, I don't have any other skills at this moment. :)

Q2: If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional. With whom would it be?

[ Ruhani Rabin ] - Switch places - with the Doctor from Doctor Who. So I could travel back to history and learn the history of time and space. At the same time help out as many races as possible.

Q3: You are now a Social Media celeb, what were the early challenges you faced in your chosen career?

[ Ruhani Rabin ] -  I never consider myself social media celebrity. Seriously, I am just the guy who lives at the corner street. That is me. I am very earthbound human. I have faced a lot of pressure during my early career days at Malaysia. But as I mentioned at Twitter/FB - "Struggles are required in order to survive in life because in order to stand up, you gotta know what falling down is like." The struggles were mainly because I am an expat at Malaysia and it is difficult to get into a job especially for people from my country. So I needed to work really hard, reach some points when there was no hope. But I needed to keep it all together to be alive. I went through it and survived.

Q4: Do you like what Ruhani Rabin does at Friendster? What is he doing to make his team members like it?

[ Ruhani Rabin ] -  I like what I do. It is the most important element of any career choice. My job scope mainly revolves around Ideas for our product which is Friendster itself. Me and our team members, we like to think a little bit unorthodox ways. It is somewhat similar to the practice done by Creative Agencies. We don't always agree on what I think, I am always open to better and finer suggestions. At the end it is the team effort but I make the final call.

Q5: Tell us about a time when you were able to step into a situation, take charge, muster support and achieve good results?

[ Ruhani Rabin ] - It will be a really long paragraph if I want to explain this because I've been doing this for last 10 years.

Q6: Has "Living the Game" taken over your personal life? How do you strike a balance?

[ Ruhani Rabin ] -    Work and Life are two different elements. It is essential not to mix one with another. I try my best not to mix them but inevitably sometimes I need to cross over work and life. I do a lot of work but when I am at home, I focus on spending my own time.

Q7: Which attitude does not work for you at workplace?

[ Ruhani Rabin ] - Negative and non-helping attitude. I am always against it and it can really upset my mood.

Q8: What quality you admire in co-workers?

[ Ruhani Rabin ] - Understanding, Knowledge and the will to help out in complicated situations. They even help me out on personal life.

Q9: How do you stay current?

[ Ruhani Rabin ] - Main channels to stay current are to read my Twitter and a mix of Google Reader feeds. Sometimes it is from YouTube and iTunes Podcasts.

Q10: Your advice to all the young Social Media enthusiasts who want to follow your footsteps

[ Ruhani Rabin ] -    Be Real, Be Yourself, Honest and Courageous. Stand Up for a Cause even if there is no public support. If you have a dream, never give up on it because that is the driving force of your Personality and Achievement in life. Social Media is a huge space; keep your mind open and wide. Maintain a positive vibe and help out others whenever you can.
