The sixteenth twitter interview was given by Mr. Sunil Bhandari on 01st December 2011. 
 
Introduction: 
  • Qualification: Chartered Accountant 
  • Work Experience: 20 years 
  • Present Designation: Executive Director – Corporate 
Working details:
 
After an initial grooming in Accounts & Finance in Organon, PCBL & CESC, Sunil moved in as Executive Assistant to the Chairman of RPG Enterprises. This gave him an overall perspective of strategy setting and business management for a conglomerate of companies.
 
He subsequently moved to a Corporate and media role, and worked as the Executive Producer for a number of regional films, and set up of film and he also set up a film and television studio for Saregama.  Presently, he is working as Executive Director – Corporate looking after Group Finance, Corporate Communication, Education Sector, Cross Synergies, etc.

Q1: What have the last few years taught you?
 
[ Sunil Bhandari ] - The last few years have shown that everything is possible - and nothing is permanent 
 
Q2. What is the toughest thing you have to do professionally?
 
[ Sunil Bhandari ] - I deal with a lot of people - the most difficult thing is to meet expectations and manage varying demands 
 
Q3. If you could take back one career decision, what would it be?
 
[ Sunil Bhandari ] - Giving the go-ahead to a couple of film projects!! 
 
Q4. What type of people do you like to work?
 
[ Sunil Bhandari ] - I like people who never say no and who go way beyond the simple brief of their job descriptions .
 
Q5. How good are you REALLY at handling change?
 
[ Sunil Bhandari ] - My life is a story of change! I've done finance, run a radio station & tv channel, produced films, married, had kids, whew! 
 
Q6. Can you handle when other people say NO?And How?
 
[ Sunil Bhandari ] - Of course I am fine with a no, if there is logic to it! But i will not stand a negative to DOING work. It is unacceptable. 
 
Q7. When conflict arises in your team, how do you handle it?
 
[ Sunil Bhandari ] - ask qs, get to the root of the problem. Its important to be fair,as even the aggrieved party will then respect the decision 
 
Q8. Describe your most successful accomplishment at work so far?
 
[ Sunil Bhandari ] - several actually! There has been a takeover I've been in; launching of Intranet, group magazine; setting up a mgt institute ; involved in a seamless business group division; setting up a successful fashion event brand; setting up a film/TV studio 
 
Q9. How do you stay current?
 
[ Sunil Bhandari ] -  5 newspapers, 5 magazines, one book a month, Facebook, lunch and dinner talks - and above all, Twitter! 
 
Q10. How would you describe a perfect job?
 
[ Sunil Bhandari ] - A perfect job is when your ambition is aligned with what the company wishes you to do, n then gives you the space to do it.
