The fortieth twitter interview was given by Mr.Tanmay K Satapathy on 17th February 2012.
Introduction:
Currently he is working as a Project Officer at Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Orissa (Since 2010)
His Past Experiences: He worked as a
- Lab Faculty at NIIT from 1995-1997
- Data Analyst (MIS) in Water Resources Department, Govt. of Orissa from 1998-2005
- District Health Information Officer, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Orissa from 2005-2009
- Manager (Commercial) at Krisna PCS India Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi from 2009-2010
Education:
He did BCom in 1992 and MCA in 1994

Q1: Describe your most successful accomplishment at work so far?
[ Tanmay K Satapathy ] - I work as a consultant to a medical college. My most successful accomplishment is to revitalize a project on child health.
Q2: If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional. With whom would it be?
[ Tanmay K Satapathy ] - It would be Late Steve Jobs. I really adore his ideas and innovations.
And another person is my better half, my wife. I want to experience how she is able to handle me since 12 yrs. :)
Q3: What is the toughest thing you have to do professionally?
[ Tanmay K Satapathy ] - Implementing the innovative ideas through unprofessional government people is the toughest thing I have ever done in my life.
Q4: Tell us about a time when you were able to step into a situation, take charge, muster support and achieve good results?
[ Tanmay K Satapathy ] - Once, during a health mela (fair), where we expected an attendance of 5000 people, 20000 people rushed in.My boss was not there, and other staff are afraid of facing such situation. I stepped in and controlled the mob. The entire district administration appreciated my effort on that case.
Q5: What type of people do you like to work?
[ Tanmay K Satapathy ] - Open minded and corruption free people
Q6: How good are you REALLY at handling change?
[ Tanmay K Satapathy ] - I appreciate change and am really quick to handle it.
Q7: Which attitude does not work for you at workplace?
[ Tanmay K Satapathy ] - When sad, or something not delivered up to my expectation, I usually maintain silence. This attitude does not work for me at work.
Q8: Can you handle when other people say NO? And How?
[ Tanmay K Satapathy ] - How that NO will become YES is our skill and capability. :) Every person has their share of self respect and ego. If you approach them without hurting their ego and respecting themselves, their NO becomes YES
Q9: How do you stay current?
[ Tanmay K Satapathy ] - Mostly through internet. It's a massive store of information which, if properly utilised, can keep you updated on everything.
Q10. How would you describe a perfect job?
[ Tanmay K Satapathy ] - A perfect job is something which would extract the best out of you, still you feel full and complete.
