Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree is a must for any teaching job in Illinois especially in the primary section. Moreover the State Teacher Certification Board provides license to all the teachers who meet the required standards of teaching - this is essential. For teaching in the secondary section, a master's degree is required. For teaching jobs in colleges and universities, along with master's degree, specialization in the particular subject and a PhD degree will be required. For administrative posts in the teaching organization, a bachelor's degree in business, human service or a related field is required. Excellent organizational skills along with superior communication and interpersonal skills is required. Along with this knowledge of computers - especially in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Work Experience:
For teaching jobs in primary school nothing is mentioned about the work experience. But for teaching jobs in the secondary level, colleges and universities at least 2-5 years of experience is required. In some universities, experience required can be more.

Working Hours: Working hours range around nine hours a day in the high school and colleges and universities. For primary schools the working hours range aroundsix hours.

Pay Scale:
The remuneration of the teachers depends on the experience they have. For example the salary of an experienced teacher with a bachelor's degree can be around $36,347 whereas the salary of an experienced teacher with a master's degree can be around $52,360. People with more experience can even get more salary.
