Active Endodontist This position generally remains open for the US Army health Care Team and some other government places. The incumbent will be entrusted with the responsibility of looking after the medical needs of the soldiers and their families.

Requirements

The incumbent should have a Doctorate from an ADA-accredited dental school in US, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or Columbia. He should also have completed an ADA-accredited Advanced Speciality Education Program in Endodontics. He should be preferably between 21 and 42 years of age. Provisions have also been made for a two year service contract that is under the OAPP Program. He should have a valid license to practice dentistry and should have to be a citizen of US.

Reserve Endodontist

This position is also open in the US Army and recruitments take place almost throughout the year. The job requirements are similar to those mentioned above.

Benefits and Compensation:

The selected candidate can apply for Health Professional Loan Repayment (HPLR) up to $50,000 will be provided over 3 years. Apart from this, he will also be paid for pursuing education that includes clinical specialization and residences, lesser cost of living and dental insurance, travel opportunities and commissary and Post Exchange privileges for shopping. Apart from this, he will also be entitled for flexible and portable retirement savings and investment plan. He will also get all the benefits that are enjoyed by an officer in the Army.

Active Periodontist

Benefits

A bonus of Health Profession amounting to $75,000 will be given to the selected candidate. He will also be entitled to an Active Duty Loan Repayment (ADHPLR) that will extend up to $120000 for a period spanning over 3 years. Apart from this, he will also get a Variable Speciality Pay of $3,000 to $12,000 annually. However, this will depend upon the service tenure of the employee. Besides, he will also be entitled to Board Certificate Pay of $2500 to $6000 on an annual basis for dentists who are certified by the board. He will also be on the payroll of Special Pay of $4000 to $15000 annually. This is however, based on the duration of service.

He will also be entitled to 30 days paid vacation that is earned annually. Some other benefits included are given below:-

  • Enjoying the privileges that are enjoyed by the army officers in US

Job Requirements:

Endodontic Dental Assistant

The Dental Assistant prepares patients for examination and ensures the patients are prepared, relaxed and are as comfortable as possible. By working under the supervision of the dentist, the dental assistant performs a variety of tasks. These include selecting and handing instruments to the dentist during dental procedures and practices of standardized procedures, techniques and methods used in dental assistance.

The Dental Assistants may also have to remove sutures, apply topical anesthetics to gums or cavity-preventive agents to teeth - remove excess cement used in the filling process and place rubber dams on the teeth to isolate them for individual treatment. The dental assistant must have excellent patient communication skills and be able to instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care and be skilled in cornal polishing and sealant placement.

Requirements:

The dental assistant has to be certified in accordance with the State law. On certain occasions, a CDA may also need to be done.

Manager for Dental Underwriting

Job prospects are open for this position. The incumbent will be responsible for underwriting and associated analysis for Health Partners Dental Division. This will also lead and manage the process of dental rating. It also includes designing and maintenance of models that are used to generate new quotations and renewal of rates for Sales and Marketing. The incumbent will also be subject to the analysis of revenue trends and decision making ability on the basis of rate changes.

He will also provide support and interact with Sales staff, brokers and employer groups on dental based products, design and strategies. He will also provide oversight and supervision of the dental overwriting of at least one team member. He will also be subject to evaluate risks and rate determination on products that are of commercial use, small groups and custom rated plans. He will also be responsible for providing, consulting and lead in the development, design and budget and the maintenance of dental plan.

Requirements

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, statistics or mathematics. The candidate should have direct responsibility for financial results and strategic planning. Underwriting experience is required with two years of dental underwriting preferred. At least five years of experience managing teams is also required including strong skills in coaching of staff, with the ability to foster team work and skill development. A strong project management skill along with familiarity with dental terminology is preferred.
