If you are applying for the job of CRNAs, then you have to work as an extension of anesthesiologists, delivering anesthesia during surgery. If you have an interest in surgery or good technical skills and less interest in patient interaction or ongoing patient rapport or continuity of care, then CRNA is the job for you. As a nurse practitioner, you will be providing patient care under the supervision of a licensed physician. In this job role of NP, you have to be qualified and authorized to examine patients and some minor procedures and tests.

You have the role of an advanced practice nurse while assisting specialized research, education, advocacy, and sometimes management as clinical nurse specialist. In addition to being a Registered Nurse, you have to hold a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing.

Physicians: If you are a physician or medical doctor, you have to lead the medical team in caring for patients as the primary healthcare provider. You have the responsibility of diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions, as well as provide treatment in many forms including medication, procedures, surgery, or therapy.

The qualification of a physician depends on the field you choose for practicing. You need to have at least an undergraduate degree from a four-year college or university, along with four additional years of graduate school at an accredited medical school. Graduating from medical school is required for obtaining a Medical Doctorate degree (M.D.), or a Doctorate of Osteopathy degree (D.O.) based on the type of medical program you complete.

Medical Assistants: As a Medical Assistant (MA) you have the responsibility of assisting nurses and physicians with a variety of administrative and medical tasks. Mostly you have to work in a doctor's office, and at times in hospitals. You have the role of checking patients in, taking vital signs, and medical record-keeping such as updating and filing charts. You will also give shots, and help with medical billing and insurance coding. You will need a one-year certificate, or you may complete a two-year associates degree from an accredited school. The coursework for your post should include medical terminology, first aid, math and science, medical billing and more.
