Acute Care (Registered Nurse):
In the acute care section, the specialized areas are in Cardiology/Telemetry-RN, Medicine/Surgery-RN,
Pain Management-RN, Rehabilitation-RN. You can apply in any of the following departments. As a Cardiology/Telemetry nurse, you have to obtain and record vital signs and other appropriate information, such as height, weight, drug allergies, current medications and presenting problems of the patients. You have to assists the physician in administration of patient evaluation according to clinic policy.
You have to be a Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program with appropriate license. One year of practical nursing experience in a clinic setting is preferred.
If you are thinking of joining in the Pain Management, then you have to administer various types of anesthesia to patients during surgical and other medical or dental procedures, with personal attention to accuracy and detail as applied to all age groups. You should have a Masters Degree in Nursing or Nurse Anesthesia. You also need to hold Registered Nurse diploma.
Critical Care (Registered Nurse):
You have to manage and coordinate the care of patients in a defined care delivery model, utilizing the nursing process by assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. You also need to supervise all nursing care provided to an assigned patient. You have to manage patients with invasive lines, or patients with acute post cardiac surgery or acute trauma patient.
You need to be a Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with Bachelor of Science in Nursing. A one year experience in Critical Care is required. Previous PCU/ICU experience is also preferable.
Emergency Medicine (Registered Nurse):
You are applying for this position, then you have to be responsible for providing care to the emergency patients presenting with a wide variety of medical conditions. You have to provide a safe environment and promote quality patient care.
You have to be a Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and a year of experience in
an acute care setting. Critical care experience is also required.
Women's Health (Registered Nurse):
You have to be responsible for Ante-Partum/High Risk OB, General Women's Health, Labor & Delivery, Lactation Specialist, Post-Partum Care or Perinatal. You have to be extra cautious with the delivery because it involves a new-born. You have to be a Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. One year of high risk labor and delivery experience or two years experience in a hospital with at least 1,000 deliveries per year.
The salary for the above posts depend on the number of experience.
