The Texas Development of Transportation – a division of the Government of Texas is offering marketing opportunities and development of individuals involved in the tourism jobs in Texas. The Texas Travel Information Centers have recently been reconstructed and expanded for the enjoyment, comfort and enlightenment of the driving public in Texas. In addition to the services offered through the information centers, the TxDOT also works with the local government for the development of tourism jobs in Texas.
Public and private enterprises are encouraged to assist in the promotion of travel and tourism by distributing their travel literature through the information centers. For the materials that are displayed and distributed at such centers there are certain regulations that have to be followed like the samples must be sent to the section headquarters before publication.
