Nurse practitioner:
As a nurse practitioner, you have to examine and treat patients on your own and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals. You need to take proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
You will need a master's degree in area of specialty and national board certification as a nurse practitioner in an area of specialty. You have to be a licensed nurse practitioner. An experience of 2-4 years in your related field is required. You have to be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures. Nurse Manager:

As a emergency room nurse, you need to have qualification of a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or a Diploma Graduate in Nursing; or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university. You have to be a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN).
You should possess and maintain certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). A minimum of one year experience as a RN within the last three years performing similar duties to those required by the contract in an Emergency Department setting.
Family Nurse Practitioner:
You have to be proficient in performing therapeutic and corrective measures such as I&D, suturing, etc. You have to provide direct care to patients under the supervision of a physician. You have to assess clinical, emotional, and educational health needs of patients, collaborate with physicians’ plans of care and assure appropriate follow-up including telephone contact, home evaluations and hospital rounds,
provide ongoing emotional support of the patient and his/her family, participates in research activities,
participate in orientation and education of nursing and support staff, and nursing and other students,
Collaborate with physicians in developing and periodically reviewing protocols relevant to department functioning, carry out clinical and administrative procedures that may be promulgated by the Health Plan.
At least one year of primary care experience is required and you need to be proficient in the use of applicable computer software. You have to be a Graduate from a NLN accredited NP program and
Masters degree in Nursing is required.
